What is a Kodak Picture Maker Kiosk?
The KODAK Picture Maker (also referred to as a KODAK Picture Kiosk) is a
stand-alone self-service photo kiosk that can be installed in a wide variety of retail
locations. It creates genuine KODAK lab-quality prints
from digital camera cards, CDs, camera phones, USB thumbdrives and even existing
prints using a built-in print scanner.
The Picture Maker is designed to be customer operated and assistance
from a store employee is generally not required. These kiosks
use KODAK's award-winning software and touchscreen technology, and
on-screen video and voice prompts guide the user through the entire
printing process.
These kiosks are available in a wide variety of sizes. The smallest model sits on a countertop and takes up very little room. The largest Picture Maker is a floor standing unit. It is very space efficient and takes just 3 feet by 3 feet of floor space.
Capabilities vary somewhat between models, but generally they will make 4x6, 5x7, 6x8, and 8x10 photo prints. The quality of the prints are as good or better than traditional lab prints, are water-proof and stain resistant, and will last a lifetime.
All models will make KODAK Picture CDs to backup the customer's camera memory card and the common print sizes of 4x6, 5x7 and 6x8. Most models also have a built-in receipt printer and offer 8x10s and print-to-print scanning.
